It all starts here at the center of it all,
the Hamblen County Courthouse
& the Rose School.

In 1978 the City Council passed an ordinance that officially designated the area of West 2nd North Street from Henry to High Street a having historical significance and that maintenance, improvement and promotion of this historic area for tourist purposes could enhance the economic diversification of the community. It was solved that West 2nd North Street area between Henry and High Street be designated as the Olde Towne historic district. It was duly marked and identified. This was passed on April 18th, 1978.

West 2nd North Street

Olde Towne reflects a time when homes were built with quality, integrity, and charm. These homes are more than 2x4s and nails, they evoke memories and sense of place and of longing.  The homes on this  tree-lined street are an easy walk to banks, restaurants, coffee shops, antiquing, and all that the historic downtown has to offer making West 2nd North one of the more desireable neighborhoods to raise a family here in Morristown.
